The new signing's road to Mestalla and technical qualities
Ryunosuke Sato, Valencia CF's latest signing, will bolster the team's attacking options with his agility, pace and technical ability.
The Tokyo-born attacker has come in from J1 League side FC Tokyo, having recorded six goals and six assists in 19 appearances. His performances also earned him the league's Best Young Player award.
In the 2024/25 season he played for Fagiano Okayama, making 28 appearances, scoring five goals and registering one assist.
INTERNATIONAL CAREER WITH JAPAN
Ryunosuke has represented Japan since Under-16 level, progressing through the Under-17, Under-19, Under-20 and Under-23 age groups before making his senior debut on June 10th, 2025. He became the youngest player in Japan's history to feature in a FIFA World Cup qualifier.
With Japan, he has won two AFC Asian Cups -at Under-17 level and Under-23 level- as well as the EAFF E-1 Football Championship with the senior national team.
